About AEO Checker

AEO Checker is a free tool that checks whether AI search crawlers can reach, read and cite a web page. It was built for SEO professionals, agencies and site owners who need to know whether technical problems are keeping their content out of AI answers.

Why it exists

Much advice about AI visibility is about content and mentions. Those matter, but they are wasted if a firewall refuses the crawler, a robots.txt rule blocks the wrong bot, or the content only exists after JavaScript runs. This checker isolates those technical barriers and orders them by severity, so the first thing you fix is the thing that matters most.

Where the checks come from

The checks follow public documentation: Google's list of crawlers and structured data guidance, OpenAI's crawler documentation, Vercel's research on AI crawlers and JavaScript, and published studies on llms.txt. Our guides explain each area and link to the sources.

What it cannot do

It cannot promise citations, detect blocking by IP address, or see pages behind a login. The 0–100 score is our own prioritisation aid, not an official metric. Questions or corrections: contact us.
